hip replacement
A titanium cup, which is screwed into the bone or a press-fit cup, is used as a cement free acetabular implant. Both cups have shown very good results in the experience of our practice. The stem is a straight titanium implant that has been used for many years, again with excellent results.

In each individual case, an implant material is chosen to provide the best prognosis for function and stability of the implant. In both cases, we recommend the use of crutches for 6 weeks after the operation. Individual cases might require longer use, but this will be discussed in detail with your doctor.

For a hip replacement a 2 week hospital stay is usually required.
